 Baby Dedication Celebration
This is a special event that provides parents with the opportunity to publicly acknowledge that God has given His children to us on loan and that we as parents commit to raising them in a home that leads kids to a sincere faith in Jesus. The next dedication will be December 15th, immediately following the 11am service. Children ages 2 years and under are eligible for Baby Dedication.  Family Baptism Class
Children who have made a willful choice to receive Christ as their personal Lord and Savior are encouraged to attend the Family Baptism Class with their parents. Attending this class or a baptism counseling is required for a child’s participation in baptism. The next family baptism class will be on June 29th, 2013 at 6:30pm.  Excite Ministry Graduation
It is a time to celebrate the spiritual milestone achieved by kiddos graduating the Excite Ministry (pre-school) and entering the Explore Ministry (K-2nd). The Excite Ministry Graduation will include: a memorable celebration with our puppet friends Penny and Scooter, fun worship songs, a graduation certificate, and a picture with our Children’s Staff, Penny and Scooter, and the child’s classroom teacher. At the end of the celebration, Pastor Scott will encourage parents with great insight on how Met Kids can partner with parents in leading their child to a genuine and growing faith in Jesus. This Graduation is one part of our comprehensive plan to help families create a rhythm in the home that invests in what matters most as well as strengthen the partnership between the church and the home.  Extreme Ministry Graduation
The transition from Met Kids to Met Students often times is intimidating for graduating 5th graders. With that in mind, the Extreme Ministry Graduation will help facilitate an enjoyable and smooth transition for each student. It is a time to reflect and celebrate the spiritual milestone achieved by kiddos graduating the Extreme Ministry (3rd-5th grade) and entering the Fuel Middle School Ministry (6-8th grade). This graduation event will be a memorable celebration including: a slideshow, worship, graduation certificate, pictures with our Children’s Staff, introduction of our Met Student Ministry Staff, “Buddy” sign-ups, and an encouraging word from Pastor Scott. Parents will also receive crucial information about how the Met Student Ministry can partner with parents in leading their students to become passionate followers of Christ.  Family Expo
Join us quarterly for our Family Expo. This is a FREE family ministry event that provides a worshipful environment for parents and elementary students to encounter God together. The program includes drama, teaching, worship and revolves around the main virtue of study for that month in Met Kids Explore/Extreme. These Virtues are characteristics of God, modeled by Christ, and become vibrantly active in our lives when we surrender our life to Christ. Family Expo helps families create a rhythm in their home that invests in what matters. The Family Expo Program is designed for students in Kindergarten to 5th grade and their parents, but everyone is welcome.

 For Heaven's Sake
For Heaven’s Sake is an interactive class where parents can bring their children to hear God’s plan for salvation. Parents will receive tools to take home and dialogue with their kids about their spiritual journey. Registration is required and childcare is available with reservations.  Met Kids Choir
The Met Kids Choir will be leading Praise & Worship during church services the weekend of December 14th & 15th. This includes a children’s performance of elementary students, plus preschoolers and teens for select songs. Watch for details.

 Trunk or Treat
Trunk or Treat is The Met Church’s Halloween alternative which is held right here in our church parking lot. Trunk or Treat is a FREE event that includes trunks full of treats, games and prizes. There are many ways for families to be involved including hosting a trunk or donating candy.
Trunk or Treat will be held on Sunday, October 27th at 2:30pm.
