Big Brothers Big Sisters

Make a BIG difference in a child’s life!
Become a Big Brother or Big Sister Today!

What if every child fulfilled their potential?
What if every child was put on the right path today?
What if every child in America graduated high school, went to college, and gave back to their communities? What could that start?
It might be the start of something big.

Big Brothers Big Sisters helps children realize their potential and build their futures through the power of positive mentoring relationships. We nurture children and strengthen communities.  And we couldn’t do any of it without you. Every time you donate your time to help a child reach their potential, you start something.

Do you have 4 hours a month that you can give to make a BIG difference in a child’s life?  Sign up today to become a big brother/sister, or a big couple or big family!

Big Brother/Big Sister Community-Based Program
Community-Based mentoring is the traditional Big Brothers Big Sisters relationship, where volunteers and children get together on their own in the community to share fun activities they both enjoy. Getting together is a great time for both of them that doesn’t require a special occasion or expensive activities. It just takes a few hours each month to share the simple things you already like to do such as shooting hoops, playing a board game, sharing a pizza, taking a walk in the park or simply hanging out and talking. To become a mentor we ask that you commit to spending at least 4 hours a month for at least a year with your little brother or sister.

Big Couple/Big Family Community-Based Program
As a Big Couple, you and your spouse can both become mentors to a child in our program. You can all do things together or you can each share time with the child individually. This is a great way to spend time together while also changing the life of a child. And, the child benefits from having a Big Brother and a Big Sister at the same time!  As a Big Family, your entire family is involved in your match to a child. That means your spouse and kids can all share time with the child in our program. By including the child in the things that your family already does together, he or she will get to experience the dynamics, experiences and fun involved in a traditional family atmosphere. To become a mentor we ask that you commit to spending at least 4 hours a month for at least a year with your little brother or sister.
