Christ In The Passover
Tuesday, April 9, 7:00 PM
Come celebrate the ancient tradition of the Passover. The Passover was a celebration, remembrance, thanksgiving and participation in God’s mighty acts of salvation for his people. The New Testament equivalent of the Passover, the Lord’s Supper, functions in similar ways for Christians today.
Join us as we sample food elements that retell the journey of the Israelites out of Egypt to The Promised Land and learn how Jesus moved us from Passover to Communion. By using all of the senses, this Passover Seder will tell the story of God’s grace in history by using food elements and story. Each participant will experience a Passover Seder, receive recipes, and Biblical traditions to be able to perform a Passover Seder on their own each year at Easter. Steven Ger, a fourth-generation Christian Jew, will be our guest speaker.
