About My Trip
For as long as I can remember, I have been a believer in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for me. From my high school years on, I have felt a pulling on my heart from God to live out my faith through a missions trip. Allowing my own fears and self doubt to get in the way, I dismissed those urgings from Him over the years. I do not want to live in that fear any longer but step out in faith for The One that has given it all for me. As a part of this Mission Team, we will be traveling to Uganda in June 2017. Our team will be assisting the teachers in the classrooms (where 60+ children per class isn’t unusual), taking class photos, leading devotions, hosting a women’s conference, hosting a young men’s conference for high school seniors, assisting in fundraising for agricultural efforts at the school’s farm to help improve the children’s daily diet of porridge and beans, and beginning the construction of our brand new mission to build a Mom Village for mothers with no way to provide for themselves and their children. I humbly ask for your prayers and support for my mission trip in any way you can. Many blessings to you and your loved ones.
About The Met
The Met Church has gone to Uganda since 2012 and we are proudly sending our 6th mission team in 2017. We sponsor the God Cares Schools and the Dongo family. Our current mission project is the Met Mom's Village where we will help provide safe housing and jobs for the moms of children at the God Cares schools who are in a destitute situation. If you would like to help sponsor a member of the team to go or the Met Moms village click on the link below to give.
