As a church, we want to be known for our extraordinary generosity—with both our time and money—toward those in our local community.

Through our partnerships with great local nonprofits and our church's initiatives, we provide opportunities to meet the real needs of our community as we serve together.

 

Beautiful Feet
What: Are you ready to serve in the community outside the church walls? This group gathers to serve at The Beautiful Feet Ministries in downtown Fort Worth, which serves the local homeless and working community.
Who: Men and women 18+; Children 10+ with adult supervision

Crafts for a Cause
What: Do you sew, knit, crochet, scrapbook, make things with your hands? If not, would you like to learn? Join to learn new skills and share your gifts as we work together to provide much needed items for the people in our community.
Who: Women ages 18+ with any level crafting experience

From the Heart
What: Prepare or buy, deliver or have a meal delivered to a family in need. Join this caring group that provides meals for church members and their immediate families that need assistance during a death, illness, birth of a child, or other difficult life circumstances.

Helping Hands
What: This is a group that offers hands on assistance to those with physical or financial limitations. Whether someone in need is moving, needs yard help, or fixing an appliance, Helping Hands is there to help. Jail Ministry
What: This group will go to the local jails to minister to, mentor, and teach inmates in the RE-entry program. Volunteers are also needed for transportation support to help provide rides to a safe place when they are released back into the community as well as updating and contacting resources, such as recovery groups, medical assistance, counseling, and much more. If you are interested in serving inside the jail, please complete the background check form, and then send it with a copy of your driver’s license & social security card to tjshelton@tarrantcounty.com.

Met Food Pantry
What: A group that is interested in serving the local community by distribution of food on a twice a month basis.
Who: Men, Women, & kids 8 and up with parent supervision

What: The Missions Group travels once a year to Uganda to serve our sister church and orphanage.

Prayer
What: Did you know there are about 650 prayers recorded in the Bible? This is because prayer is important. Throughout Scripture, God repeatedly invites his people to pray to him in all kinds of circumstances for all kinds of reasons. Join us twice a month as we pray for our country, The Met, the staff, and people who request prayer.
